Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister to visit Estonia

The official visit of the Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Heydar Babayev to Estonia starts from January 21.

The due information was provided by Jana Krimpe, chairman of the Estonia-Azerbaijan Trade Chamber, who added that Babayev's visit will last until January 24.

The visit is held by the invitation of the Minister of Economy and Communications of Estonia Juhan Parts. Babayev will be accompanied by a delegation comprising representatives of the leading companies of the country.

Babayev plans to hold a number of meetings with the leadership of the country, including Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet, in Tallinn.

Heydar Babayev will also be received by the chairman of Estonian Parliament (Riygikogu) Ene Ergma and the President of the country Toomas-Hendrik Ilves.

The meetings will focus on prospects of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Estonia.

Moreover, a business-forum with participation of the entrepreneurs of the two countries will be held in the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Estonia, in Tallinn, January 23. Azerbaijan will be represented by about 20 entrepreneurs.

The said visit will be a response visit of the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to Estonia.

It should be reminded that Azerbaijan-Estonia business-forum, arranged by the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Export and Investments Encouragement Fund (AZPROMO), was held in the Excelsior hotel of Baku on October 29.

The arrangement was organized in frames of the visit of Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet to Azerbaijan.

During the forum and the meetings, the Estonian entrepreneurs displayed interest with the investment in the non-oil economic sector of Azerbaijan.
