Baku, Fineko/ Azerbaijan-Estonia Business Forum that gathered 75 domestic and 25 Estonian entrepreneurs has been held in Baku today.

Following the Forum Heydar Babaev, the minister of economic development, Azerbaijan is aware of higher international rating of Estonia compared to the countries in which Azerbaijan directs its investments.

“From angle of stability of investments we are interested to invest in Estonian economy,” Babayev said.

At present investments between the two countries are lacking and their trade turnover is not large.

“In 2006 commodity turnover was $2 million and in the 1st half-year of 2007 $14.242 million. At the same time we should strive to use unexhausted potential of mutual trade,” Babayev said.

In the 1st half-year Azeri import made only $250,000 in overall trade turnover.
